Narratives an art exhibition of
Bruce Tozer's
work, was held at Island
Influence Art Gallery at The Big Flower Farm June 7th-29th, 2003.
Visitors described the work as "disturbingly beautiful, inspiring,
dark, humorous, impressive, highly skilled and ahead of his time".
Sixty or more people braved the terrible
weather on Friday evening 6th June 2003 to attend the opening and celebrated
with Bruce's' family, a lifetime of dedication to Art and the education of it.
Josephine Allen, Director of the exhibition
said "that Tozer's work is exceptional and that all at the Opening should be
proud to be part of an important moment in the cultural history of this area.
Here is an artist who deserves to be recognised up with the best".
Dennis Leversha who first met Bruce in 1965
spoke of his commitment to education and his passion for recognition of art.
A variety of mediums, such as oil, frottage,
charcoal, pencil and acrylics and a great variation in subject matter mean there
is something for everyone. |
